Quality Control Inspector – Fabrication and Welding

27th July 2021 –  As an industry leading Fabrication and Construction Company, we are looking to recruit a Fabrication and Welding QC Inspector. This position, reporting to the Quality Manger, will join their existing Quality Compliance team within a large workshop environment. We are seeking a quality focused individual with attention to detail, and a motivated team player.

This position involves the inspection of fabricated steelwork for dimensional compliance (against approved drawings), welding compliance, and correct item identification. In addition, you will be required to complete associated documentation and inspection records.

AS/NZS 2214 Welding Supervisor (or suitable equivalent), or formal Weld Inspection qualification.
Ability to read fabrication drawings and weld symbols.
Minimum 5 years industry experience.
Pragmatic and collaborative approach to non-conformity resolution.

Highly desirable
Formal Trade Qualifications in Fabrication and/or Welding
Previous Welding and Coating Inspection experience
Competent with Microsoft office suite

Additional information
Whilst previous QC experience is preferred, consideration may be given to exceptional candidates who may lack this previous experience but excel in other areas.
Regular overtime available and multiple staff benefits
This position will be offered on a rotating dayshift/nightshift pattern (approximately 4 week rotations)
